Qin Yi秦怡

Qin Yi秦怡 (January 31, 1922-May 9, 2022), formerly known as Qin Dehe, was born in Shanghai, and her ancestral home was Gaoyou, Jiangsu. She was an actress in Chinese films, dramas and TV dramas. In 1938, she entered the Chinese Film Studio as a drama actress, and in 1941, she became an actress of the Chinese Drama Club. In 1946, she became famous with her performance in the film "Distant Love". After the founding of the People's Republic of China, she became an actress and deputy director of the actor troupe in Shanghai Film Studio. In the 1950s, she was well-known to Chinese audiences for starring in "Malan Blossom". Under the circumstances of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Qin Yi was forced to go to Chongqing in 1938 and joined a Chinese film studio as an actress. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, she performed many dramas. ". Among the four "dens", Qin Yi is especially famous for her beauty. In 1938, drama actor Chen Tianguo pursued Qin Yi. In 1939, Qin Yi was forced to marry Chen Tianguo under the pressure of death. After marriage, Chen Tianguo was addicted to alcohol and committed domestic violence against Qin Yi. In August 1944, Qin Yi gave birth to a daughter. After giving birth, she became ill. Because he could not afford the milk powder and child support, Chen Tianguo planned to give the child away, which made Qin Yi unable to bear it. The two officially ended their marriage. In 1945, she returned to Shanghai after the end of the Anti-Japanese War, and continued to perform in many films, among which "Distant Love" starring Zhao Dan became her famous film. In the winter of 1947, Qin Yi went to Hong Kong to film "The Boundless Sea", met the film actor Jin Yan and confirmed their relationship. Afterwards, the two got married and had a son. In 1949, Qin Yi entered the Shanghai Film Studio as an actress and starred in many films such as "Women's Basketball No. 5", which was very popular. In 1962, Jin Yan fell ill in bed due to gastric bleeding caused by excessive drinking. From then on, Qin Yi took care of Jin Yan at the bedside for more than 20 years, until Jin Yan died in 1983. Jin Jie, the son of Qin Yi and Jin Yan, was diagnosed with acute mild schizophrenia when he was 16 years old. For more than 40 years of illness, Qin Yi has always guarded and taken care of her son. Even if she went out to film, she would always take him by her side. For decades, Qin Yi never let her son miss a dose of medicine, and always let him wear clean and tidy. The bathing, haircut, and shaving of her son were all done by Qin Yi herself until Jin Jie passed away in 2007. In 2019, 97-year-old Qin Yi also filmed the micro-movie "Waiting". She completed all the shooting content in the hospital and devoted herself to the role. Qin Yi has participated in more than 40 movies and TV series, and has shaped countless roles. On September 25, 2019, Qin Yi won the personal title of "The Most Beautiful Struggler". On September 29, Qin Yi won the national honorary title of "People's Artist". Qin Yi died at Huadong Hospital at 4:08 am on May 9, 2022, at the age of 100.
