Yip Ping (葉萍)

Yip Ping (葉萍) was an actress in Cantonese films in Hong Kong from the 1940s to the 1960s. Her works include "Kaleidoscope", "Dangerous Building", "Thunderstorm" and so on.Yip Ping played the role of Shirley in the 1952 film "A Poor Couple, All Things Sorrow". Others who participated in the performance include Wu Chufan, Bai Yan, Huang Manli, Zhang Huoyou and so on. In the 1960 film "Poor Parents in the World" directed by Chu Yuan, Yip Ping played the cousin. The film starred by Bai Yan, Zhang Huoyou, Li Xiaotian, Liang Junmi, Wang Aiming, Feng Baobao and others. Yip Ping joined Hong Kong TVB in the 1970s and 1980s and participated in "Family Changes". Yip Ping is also the wife of the famous director Wu Hui. In the mid-1980s, Wu Hui and Yip Ping bought their own property in Zhongshan, Guangdong for retirement. In the 1990s, Wu Hui occasionally found time to return to Hong Kong to perform. The last work he participated in was "Nine Pins of Sesame Official" starring Zhou Xingchi, playing the role of Bao Longxing's father "Bao Budong".
