Danny Lau Dan (劉丹）

Danny Lau Dan (劉丹, November 18, 1944 -) was originally named "Liu Qingji" and was born in Weihai, Shandong. When Lau Dan was four years old, he immigrated to Hong Kong with his parents. He once played the fatuous Ming Xianzong in the first series of the TV series "As You Like It". And the character that really made Lau Dan a household name is the role of Hong Qigong, the nine-fingered beggar in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes". Lau Dan's version of "Hong Qigong" is very kind-hearted and cute, and he is one of the most pleasing characters in the whole play.
