Gong Fenhong宫粉红, 1912-2010, Cantonese opera star, one of the founders of Feinong Cantonese Opera Academy, was born in a family of opera. She married Chen Feinong, who is also a Cantonese opera star and formerly known as Chen Jinglian. Known as the "fan princess", Chen Baozhu was adopted by Chen Feinong and Gong Fenhong when she was young due to family problems. In addition to taking care of Chen Baozhu, Gong Fenhong also taught her Cantonese opera. In addition to her adopted daughter Chen Baozhu, there is another daughter, Chen Baoyi, who is also in the entertainment industry. Chen Feinong and his wife once formed the "Fei Nong Theater Troupe" with Baozhu, and the family of three performed "Three mothers Teaching Their Children" on the same stage. In 1953, Gong Fenhong and her husband opened the "Hong Kong Cantonese Opera Academy" in Causeway Bay to cultivate Cantonese opera talents. Her disciples include Cantonese film stars Ng Kwan Lai, Nan Hong, Hong Douzi, Xinxin, Lin Dan, Li Baoying, Zheng Guobao, Luo Yanqing, Lin Jiasheng, Huang Zhiming, He Yanyan , Xu Yanqiu, Zhang Baozhi, Wu Qianfeng, Wu Yanling, Li Long, Li Feng, etc. are all rising stars, among which Qi Xiaoying and Wu Junli who lead art investment teachers are more outstanding. Chen Baozhu officially joined the film industry, and Gong Fenhong simply became a "following mother" as her daughter's manager, personal assistant and mentor. The mothers and daughters even co-starred in Lu Qi's "Long Like the Spring Breeze" directed by Lui Qi in 1969. Gong Fenhong not only performed in front of the scene, but also worked behind the scenes; for example, in 1968 and 1969, she personally produced and performed the films "Jade Girl Heart", "Nyonya Love" and "Lang Ru Chun Breeze". On February 24, 2010, Gong Fenhong collapsed due to sudden discomfort while enjoying her daughter Chen Baozhu's stage performance, and died after being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment at the age of 98.
