Jiang Qing江青, born in Beijing in 1946, was originally from Puning, Guangdong, and later moved to Shanghai. In 1951, she went south to Hong Kong. In 1962, she was admitted to the Nanguo Experimental Troupe. Jiang Qing was a graduate of the second batch. she became friends with Zheng Peipei and signed an eight-year basic actor contract with Shaw Brothers. "Seven Fairies" was its debut work. At the time when Li Hanxiang left the Shaw Brothers and went to Taiwan to form the Guolian Company, she followed Li Hanxiang to Taiwan and became a basic actor of the Guolian. ", and the contract with Shaw was annulled because she was under the legal age when signing the contract, and later became the leading actress of the League of Nations because of "Seven Fairies". She once won the Best Actress in the 5th (1966) Golden Horse Awards for "How Many Times the Sunset Is Red". In the 1960s, she worked as a film actress in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Jiang Qing has starred in more than 20 films. The pinnacle of her acting career is based on the two films "Xi Shi" and "How Many Times the Sunset Is Red". On July 20, 1966, she married Liu Jiachang, who was a singer at the time, and quit the film industry since then. After divorce in 1970, she went to the United States to resume her career in dancing. In 1973, she founded Jiang Qing Dance Troupe in New York and began to develop her dance creation. In 1982, she became the first artistic director of the Hong Kong Dance Company. Jiang Qing has taught at the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Henk in New York, the Swedish National Dance Academy and the Beijing Dance Academy. Since 1985, Jiang Qing has continued her dance creation and performance activities around the world as an individual. Now lives in Sweden and is married to Swedish biochemistry professor Birel Pembek.
