Lau Kong (劉江, August 24, 1943 -) Hong Kong TVB veteran actor, has more than 40 years of performance experience. Generally TVB actors call him "Ms. Liu". He was involved in film production in the 1960s before turning to television. Lau Kong was originally born in Peking Opera. He went to Taiwan alone to study Peking Opera when he was 12 years old. Eight years after he entered the Fuxing Opera School in Taipei, he graduated and returned to Hong Kong in 1966. Through the recommendation of a former drama school teacher, he joined the Hong Kong film industry as a martial arts instructor. He himself loves acting, and after working as a martial arts instructor for a few years, he applied for the "Shaw Brothers Southern Kingdom Training Class". In response to Gu Wenzong, the head teacher of his training class at that time, mentioned that Shaw Brothers Film Company needed dubbing personnel, Lau Kong began to participate in the work of dubbing movies. Later, he was signed by Li Ying, a mentor of Cathay Organization (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., as an actor. Due to the fact that Cathay Pacific no longer produces movies, Lau Kong was unable to make a movie. But in 1972, director Hu Jinquan started filming the film "The Picture of Loyalty" and invited him to perform, so he continued his film work. Introduced by Liu Dan, a student of the second training class of Cathay Pacific Company, Lau Kong then switched from the film industry to Jiayi TV, which was in full swing at that time, and played in famous TV series such as "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", and "A Dream of Red Mansions". It was performed in the middle of the show until Jiayi TV closed. Among them, "The First Sword of Wind and Thunder" had not been broadcast at that time. In 1979, Lau Kong, like many actors, switched to Li TV, another free TV station. In three years, he performed in dramas such as "Six Tribulations of a Floating Life", "People in the Rivers and Lakes", and "Heroes Fearless". Switched to TVB again. Joined TVB in 1982 and began to perform superb performances for more than 30 years. Except for the first year of joining, he performed 3-8 sets of dramas every year without interruption, and quickly became a senior artist that the company strongly recommends. Having performed in front of the TV series for many years, his face has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and his acting skills have long been widely recognized by the audience. He usually plays the protagonist's father or elder, court challenger, political veteran, etc. For example, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the 2006 Myriad Stars Hetai Festival for his role as the iron-blooded bodyguard "Shang Zhengpeng". Later, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Wanqian Xinghui He Taiqing for his other roles.Lau Kong has also acted in many films.
