Mei Xin (梅欣)

Mei Xin (梅欣Mui Yan, born in 1928-April 13, 2011), is a former Hong Kong TVB actor and voice actor. In his early years, he worked as a barber. He studied folk art in Macau and was known for his singing voice that resembles Leung Sing-po梁醒波. Later, he even worshiped Leung Sing-po as his teacher. In 1960, he participated in the first movie "Xiaoxia Red Butterfly", which starred Feng Baobao馮寶寶. In the 1970s, he joined the dubbing work of TVB and occasionally participated in TV series. Participated in the drama "Under the Taiping Mountain" written and directed by Chung King Fai. Back then, it was accompanied by many popular episodes and animations, including the dregs of "He-Man", Uncle Fei Da in the foreign episode "The Edens Family", and Li Fran in "The Net". I believe many previous TV viewers have watched it. In 1975, TVB launched a dubbing training class, and Mei Xin, Tan Bingwen, Lu Guoxiong, Ding Yu and others were the instructors. Mei Xin only does idle roles in Cantonese feature films. On the stage, there were many Cantonese operas performed jointly with well-known singers in the folk art world, and he sang very well. The first record was "Liang Zhu's Hate History" composed by Pan Yifan, and the record company even promoted it as "Xin Liang Xingbo". Over the next 20 years, more than 60 albums were released. The songs include: "Zhu Bajie Calls for Marriage", "Don't Marry and Marry", "Xiangjiang Flower and Moon Night", "Peony Pavilion Dream" and so on. Mei Xin worked in TVB for 27 years and resigned in 1994. Later, he helped his niece look at the electrical shop in Apliu Street, Kowloon, Causeway Bay. After the electrical shop was closed, he immigrated to Ottawa, Canada. He died of illness in Canada on April 13, 2011 at the age of 83.
