Ricky Hui 许冠英

Xu Guanying （Ricky Hui 许冠英）was born on August 3, 1946 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. In 1950, Xu Guanying moved to Hong Kong from Guangzhou with his family. He grew up in the wooden house area of Diamond Hill and later moved to So Uk Village. After graduating from high school in 1967, he joined the Agence France Presse, and in 1971, entered the actor training class of Shaw Brothers Co., Ltd. In 1972, starred in the movie "Youth". In 1974, he founded Xu Brothers Film Company with his elder brother Xu Guanwen and younger brother Xu Guanjie. In the 40 years of filming, Xu Guanying has appeared in more than 30 movies. Because of his ugly appearance, he often plays roles that are bullied or funny. In 1976, he became famous for starring in the comedy movie "Half a Catty". In the same year, the first album "Fat Qian Han" was released on Polygram Records. In 1979, Xu Guanying released his solo album "Money Makes Mischief". In 1982, Teresa Teng played the role of the little daughter-in-law in the MV of the wireless TV special "Little Daughter-in-law Going Back to Her Parents". In 1985, he starred in the zombie film "Mr. Zombie" and played Wencai. In 2006, joined Universal Star Entertainment Co., Ltd. and performed as a special guest for "Lu Shan Shining Starlight Night Concert". On the road of love, Xu Guanying has always been a bachelor. But Xu Guanying also had a relationship and met a Japanese girlfriend named Kayori. Xu Guanying died of a heart attack at his home on Marconi Road, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong on November 8, 2011, at the age of 65.
