Yan Hua嚴化

Yan Hua嚴化, whose real name is Jiang Keqi, was originally from Changzhou, Jiangsu, but was born in Shanghai. Graduated from the Shanghai Institute of Chinese Music, he has composed and soundtracked for films. His major works include "Three Smiles", "A Closer Shot", "Red Butterfly" and so on. Since 1939, he has been an actor of Yihua Film Company, and is famous for starring in "Three Smiles". After 1942, in Zhonglian, Huaying shot more than ten films. From 1947 to Hong Kong, he successively acted as a leading actor in film companies such as Greater China, Taishan, and Shaw Brothers. His wife Hongwei (紅薇formerly known as Luo Zhen) has four sons and one daughter, the second son Qin Pei (秦沛real name Jiang Changnian) and the youngest son Jiang David (姜大衛real name Jiang Weinian). Yan Hua died of liver cancer in Hong Kong in the early 1950s. After Yan Hua's death, his wife Hong Wei remarried to producer Er Guang in 1956 and gave birth to a son Er Dongsheng爾冬升.
