Malay political parties compete with each other

When Malay political parties are fighting each other , the DAP has become the kingmaker. During the prosperous era of the Barisan Nasional, some people said that even without the support of the Chinese, UMNO could win the general election with the votes of a single ethnic group. After the last two general elections, this idea has been eliminated.Although the Malays have the upper hand in terms of numbers, due to many internal struggles, the strength of Umno is not as good as before. In addition to the old enemy PAS, there are now more Bersatu and the PKR with Malays as the backbone. Not to mention other smaller Malay political parties, just take Umno, Islamic Party, Bersatu and PKR 4 major Malay political parties, I believe that no Malay political party is sure to win the ruling power with Malay votes. Even the PAS, which has made great gains in the 15th national election and six state elections, feels that it cannot win power with the support of a single ethnic group. A realignment of the Malay parties seems unlikely, because each Malay party wants to maintain its own strength, and even in the same camp, it is against each other. Taking Perikatan Nasional as an example, when PAS continues to grow, Bersatu will feel the pressure; the competition between Malay political parties in different formations will be more intense, because each wants to gain greater support from the ethnic group. It is foreseeable that the fragmented situation of Malay political parties will continue to exist. This also puts the DAP in a favored position. As Datuk Idris Ahmad, the deputy chairman of the PAS, pointed out, if the PAS wants to win in a short period of time, the fastest way is to cooperate with the DAP. In the future, not only will the party win seats, but the party will also gain official positions. The current hype of the racial issue of PAS is nothing more than to gain the support of Malays to consolidate its position. When it finds that this is not enough, it will inevitably find another way. The easiest way is to find a non-Malay political party to cooperate. Of course, we cannot ignore East Malaysia. They also think that they are kingmakers. To form a stable central government, the participation of political parties in Sabar and Sarawak is indispensable. but the parties in Sabar and Sarawak has a certain resistance to PAS. The only option for the PAS is to cooperate with the DAP; and the DAP, which has many options, will not rush to choose to cooperate with the PAS. The DAP is worried that it will lose the support of the Chinese when it cooperates with the PAS. Judging from the current situation, the coalition government is a foregone conclusion, and the only way to make changes is to wait for the next national election.
