Yeung Yip Wang楊業宏
Yeung Yip Wang楊業宏 (1900-July 3, 1972) was a practitioner of Cantonese opera, film, television and broadcasting in Hong Kong from the 1930s to the 1970s. He was optimistic and talkative, very popular in the circle, and willing to promote his juniors; Before the Pacific War, he ran an import business and wholesaled mangoes produced in the Philippines. He had money and would go out to eat and drink with his friends without hesitation. Later, he was recruited by a film company and became a first-line niche player. After the war, he became a supporting role, Li's Voice and Li's TV actor. Participated in the TV series "Family Spring and Autumn" (1970) with Li Yingsheng. He has participated in countless films, from "Bao Xing" in 1934 to "Bandit" in 1973, a total of 417 films. On the evening of July 2, 1972 (Sunday), 72-year-old Yeung Yip Wang jumped into the sea on the way to Macau on the "Huashan" ship that sailed in the early morning. Relevant authorities found that he had left pajamas, documents and a notebook on the bed of his cabin. According to Yeung Yip Wang’s note, which was published in the newspaper the next day, it read: “It’s been more than seventy years, and it’s been too long. Therefore, it was decided to end work early and implement sea burial, There is no need for a funeral...." According to the creator Gan Guoliang, he was on the same boat with Yeung Yip Wang when he returned to Macau to visit relatives on July 2, 1972, but he did not see the moment when he threw himself into the sea.
