Chen Haoqi

Chen Haoqi 陈好逑 (Cantonese opera and film artist), native of Taishan, Guangdong. Influenced by her father Chen Qihong (a Cantonese opera actor), she developed a strong interest in Cantonese opera since childhood. She studied under Deng Xiao Lanfang, studied opera at Lanfang Cantonese Opera Academy, and later learned martial arts from Fan Juhua (Peking Opera master). With Luo Jianlang to perform in Singapore, Malaysia and other places, as the third actress. Later, when she followed famous actors such as He Feifan and Yu Lizhen to perform in Vietnam, she was the second actress. In 1962, she participated in the Qingxin Sing Opera Troupe, cooperated with Lin Jiasheng, served as the main printing dan, and performed famous dramas such as "Thundering Golden Drums and the Voice", and became famous. In 1974, she and Wu Qianfeng organized the Song Qianqiu Troupe to perform in the United States. Returning to Hong Kong in 1976, at the invitation of Lin Jiasheng, she joined the Song Xin Sheng Opera Troupe. Chen Haoqi could act different roles , has a wide range of dramas, and is competent for Guimen Dan, Tsing Yi, Dao Ma Dan, etc., especially in martial arts, and the cooperation with Lin Jiasheng is even more brilliant. She has starred in other plays including "The Heartless Sword and the Love of Heaven", "Returning the Golden Powder", "The Lover's Trouble in the Palace", "Iron Horse and Silver Wedding", "Criticism of Snow Tracking", "Wen Ji Returns to Han", "Cosmos" "The Frontier" and the new play "Azalea Mountain" co-starred with Long Guantian and others have also attracted attention both inside and outside the industry. Chen Haoqi is always in the "Song Xinsheng Opera Troupe" as Zheng Yindan. "Relentless Sword and Love" is the first play of Chen Haoqi and Lin Jiasheng. In 1992, Chen Haoqi temporarily resigned due to health problems, "Song Xinsheng". Although her health is not as good as that of the year and her performance rate has declined, her performances still have a certain quality. In terms of charity, she once recorded records with famous actors Gai Minghui, Chen Xiaofeng, Lin Jinping, Ni Huiying, Cao Xiuqin, etc. to raise money for the Spiritual Christian Association. In terms of Cantonese opera education, she worked with Ruan Siuhui, Leung Honwei, Xin Jianlang, Wang Chaoqun and others as consultants for the basic course of Cantonese Opera Quyi Certificate. Due to her many years of dedication to promoting the development of Cantonese opera, Chen Haoqi has made a lot of contributions. In 2008, she was awarded the Medal of Honor by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and was named "Art Queen". During this period, she also took part in many Cantonese opera films, such as "Yangzhou Dream in Ten Years", "Unruly Marshal Reckless General" and so on.
