Sheng Jialun (March 18, 1911 - May 10, 1957) was a composer from Zhongshan, Guangdong. Born in Hankou. He is Sheng Jialun, who was first called a "second-rate son". In his early years, he studied at Hankou Wenhua University. Traditionally, the characters in the "second-rate halls" are actually first-class characters. Most of the "cousins" are top figures in the cultural and artistic circles. Most of these literary and artistic masters are gentle and independent. Sheng Jialun once sang a song "Midnight Song", which shocked several generations. Its charm has never been matched by anyone. Sheng Jialun also did a lot of work in composing music for the Anti-Japanese War. In 1932, he went to Shanghai to participate in the left-wing film "Midnight Song" of China Film Studio and sang the theme song. In 1938, he was appointed as a composer and composed the theme songs for the movies "Defend Our Land" and "The Storm on the Block". He collaborated with Guang Weiran on "Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Song" and later composed music for stage plays such as "Fighting for Freedom and Peace", "Long Live the Nation", "Rhapsody for Little People", "The Slapped Man", "Drama Spring and Autumn" and "Resurrection". After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was a researcher at the Institute of Ethnic Music of the Central Conservatory of Music and the first director of the China Music Association. He once served as the music consultant for the dramatic art film "Tears on Barren Mountains". Died early due to illness in 1957. Special topics include oriental Indian music and ancient Chinese music. He is studying an ancient musical instrument called "Xun", which is a pear-shaped instrument made of clay.
