Singer Huang Hong黄虹
Singer Huang Hong (1928-1999), formerly known as Huang Qiongzhi, is a famous Yunnan folk singer. Born in Kunming in 1928 into a family that loved folk songs and dances, she was influenced by Yunnan lanterns, folk tunes, anti-Japanese songs, and Yunnan opera music since childhood. She actively participated in the Anti-Japanese War and the Chinese revolution in her early years. In 1953, she became a sensation when she participated in the National Folk Music and Dance Performance. The Yunnan folk songs she compiled, composed, arranged, and sang were widely circulated among the masses, such as "The River Flows" and "Embroidered Purse" and so on. After liberation, Huang Hong finally got her wish and became a soloist in the Yunnan Song and Dance Troupe. In 1952, Huang Hong participated in the National Folk Song and Dance Performance, and her silver bell-like voice was welcomed by all the audience present. After that, Huang Hong began to go deep into the countryside of Yunnan to learn from folk singers and veteran lantern opera artists. She recorded more than 100 Yunnan folk songs and compiled and adapted them to make their style more prominent. Huang Hong's voice is loud and clear. She has studied the personality, style and charm of folk songs very well, and she requires herself to be both beautiful and beautiful. When she sang the Yunnan folk song "Little River Flowing Water", the beauty and charm of women flowed out with the song. "Fangma Folk Song" was spicy, "Guess the Tune" was clever, and "When Will the Sophora Flowers Bloom" be full of affection. One day, Huang Hong came home from get off work. She accidentally fell and broke her leg on the way. She was rolling on the ground in pain. Fortunately, a passing student carried her to the hospital on a wooden board. After a checkup, Huang Hong had already It was late-stage lung cancer, and the cancer cells had spread to the bones. Huang Hong didn't know the news at the time. The doctor told her that it was a serious inflammation and she needed to stop singing and concentrate on treatment. In the ward, she became the "gramophone" for the patients. On August 9, 1999, Huang Hong's sister, dancer Huang Lizhi, received notification that her sister was critically ill. She rushed to Kunming from Xiaguan, Dali. Huang Hong looked very peaceful in the hospital bed. When she saw her sister arriving, she struggled to get up , but it ended in failure several times. Huang Hong had two biggest wishes in her life. One was to sing Yunnan folk songs out of the province and abroad, which she fulfilled; the other was to own a piano, which was not fulfilled in the end. Huang Lizhi couldn't help but feel sad every time she saw a piano. Once she saw a bamboo grand piano model in a bamboo craft store in another place. She bought it and brought it back to Yunnan, where she burned it in front of Huang Hong's grave.
