Time Meteor Gao Baoshu

Pao Shu Kao, also known as Gao Haoru, was born in Jiangsu in 1932. Pao Shu Kao's father, Gao Jianqing, was a former scholar in the Qing Dynasty. When she was thirteen years old, her father passed away and her family fell into decline. She was forced to leave Xuzhou Normal University, where she was about to graduate, and worked as a local news reporter for the "Zhengdao Daily" in Bengbu, Anhui. Later, she joined the troupe and performed in Nanjing, Shanghai, Vietnam, Myanmar and other places with the troupe. Pao Shu Kao met and got married to Jiang Nan, the leading actor in the same troupe. In 1951, she went to Hong Kong to work as a film actress. The first song was "The World Is Upturned" and she served as the announcer. In 1952, she joined Yonghua Film as a basic actor; in 1955, Yonghua Film graduated and switched to Xinhua Film. Pao Shu Kao went to Japan to shoot Hong Kong's first color film "Begonia Red" (starring Li Lihua), and also made films for other film companies. In 1958, he joined Shaw Brothers as a basic actor and performed different roles in movies. She was known as an actor with a thousand faces. Her works include "Thousands of Beauties" and "Unbreakable Love". At the same time, she also participated in a lot of behind-the-scenes work, serving as a dubbing foreman, and also served as an assistant director with Cheng Gang and Yue Feng. In 1970, she directed the film "Feng Feifei" for the first time, starring He Lili and Nan Jingxun. In 1971, she left Shaw Brothers and formed Baoshu Film Company with her second husband Bai Wenqi, integrating producer, director and actor. Entering the 1980s, she began to fade out of the film industry. Pao Shu Kao died of illness on July 20, 2000, at the age of 68.
