Tsin Ting静婷
Jingting (Tsin Ting, 1934-October 20, 2022), female artist and singer, formerly known as Sister Guo, also known as Xi Jingting, was born in Sichuan. In 1949, she went to British Hong Kong with her family. Due to family financial constraints, she was 17 in 1951 When she was young, Jingting started singing in nightclubs; in order to hide her identity, she adopted her mother's surname of "Xi" and named her Jingting. Later, she sang as a backing vocalist for movie interludes. Because of her beautiful singing, she made her debut in 1957 and served as a behind-the-scenes singer in movies. She is known as the "Queen of Huangmei Diao Songs" and "The Queen of All-purpose Songs". In 1959, Jing Ting sang the duet with Jiang Hong in Huangmei tune "Playing Phoenix" and "Playing the Emperor" in the movie "Jiangshan Beauty", which became very popular. In 1960, she sang "I Don't Have Him in My Heart" and became a Chinese music classic. In 1963, she Behind the scenes, she was the substitute singer for Lottie in the Huangmei tune film "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" directed by Li Hanxiang, which was a great success. In 1972, Jingting quit the music scene to take care of her only daughter in the United States, and occasionally returned to perform entertainment singing. In 1997, together with Liu Yun, Cui Ping and Wu Yingyin, they participated in the Golden Lights Shining Stage Concert on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of EMI Records. In 2007, the Jingting Jingting 50th Anniversary Concert was held. In 2009, the most exciting Jingting Concert was held. In January 2017, she went to Taiwan to perform in the "Memories of Treasure Island - Concert of Zhou Lanping's Classic Works". Jingting lived in seclusion in her later years and lived a retired life; she died of natural causes in her sleep at her residence in Taipei at about 2 a.m. on October 20, 2022, at the age of 88.
