Cecilia So Yan Chee

Su Enci（Cecilia So Yan Chee ，December 6, 1953 -), formerly known as Su Huiyu, is a Hong Kong female licorice actress. She is currently a basic artist contract artist of TVB. Su Enci's real name is Su Huiyu. She grew up in Kennedy Road, Central and Western District, Hong Kong Island. Her parents were businessmen. She attended the Primary School Affiliated to St. Paul's Co-educational School with her brother. Her classmates included Wu Dingxu and former Executive Council member Tang Jiacheng and St. Paul's Co-educational School. She obtained Grade C in Chinese and English subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination. Under the recommendation of Wei Xiuxian, She applied to be an announcer for a summer vacation. Su Enci learned from the newspaper that TVB was recruiting students, so she signed up. She graduated from the second artist training class of TVB in 1973. Her classmates at the same time included artists such as Wu Weiguo, Song Haohui, Lu Wanyin, and Wu Huanyi. The first TV series Su Eunci participated in was "The Prodigal Son", in which she played a tea guest. Because of Liu Fanggang's appreciation, she was assigned to play the leading role in the TV series "The World of Glass". Since then, she has played key roles in several TV series in the 1970s. Su Eunci has been working in the field of drama all her life. Although she mainly plays supporting roles, the audience is not unfamiliar with her. During her career that spanned more than four decades, she appeared in Hong Kong TV dramas as kuotai or mother-like characters. However, she has not actually entered into marriage, has no children, and has been living a lonely lifestyle. For her love of performing, she never flinched even in the face of a reduction in income. She admitted that when she was 40 years old, she also dreamed of love and marriage, but as the years passed, she gradually adapted to single life. Especially when she saw that the lives of her friends became chaotic after marriage, she strengthened her determination to be single. She believed that it was easy to adapt to each other when she was young, but as she grew older, adaptation became more and more difficult.
