In 1935, he participated in the music department of Hong Kong's "Zhongsheng Charity Society" and worked with Lu Wencheng, Liang Yizhong, Qiu Hechou, Yin Zizhong, and He Dasha. etc. to study and perform Cantonese music. At the same time, he was engaged in film music work on the studios of major film companies such as "Grand View", and participated in the music work of "Harmony Records" in Hong Kong, recording a large number of Cantonese music records. He, Yin Zizhong, Lui Wencheng and He Dasha were known as the "Four Kings" of Cantonese opera music at that time. In 1942, the "China Concert" hosted by the Four Heavenly Kings performed Cantonese music in Guangzhou's "Great East Asia", "Lili", "Wenna", "Parlem" and other music teahouses. In 1947, he participated in the music work of Shi Tsang and Xue Juexian troupes of Singapore and Ma. Since 1951, he has participated in the music work of the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Troupe and has been engaged in writing Cantonese opera scripts.
