His original name was He Henian. He studied Huadan in his early years. He has successively joined theater troupes such as "Daluotian", "Golden", "Le Qile" and "Red Cotton". In 1938, He Feifan formed the Feifan Xiang Theater Company. His appearance is elegant and unrestrained, and his singing skills include a continuous flow of tunes, sometimes low, sometimes high, or occasionally casual, creating a style of his own, which is called "fan tune" in the industry. He Feifan's first play is "Spring on the Stage" , "The Romance of the West Chamber", "The Love Monk Steals into the Xiaoxiang Pavilion", etc., are very popular with the audience, and he was a smash hit niche and movie star in the 1950s. He, who originally took the stage name He Xiaonian, started out as a minor player when he first joined the Cantonese class. At that time, he was the only one in the Mainland. His performance of "The Love Monk Stole the Xiaoxiang Pavilion" was performed for hundreds of sold-out performances with gongs and drums. Unexpectedly, because the situation in Mainland China had just changed at that time, Hong Kong was a British colony. For political reasons, the Hong Kong government believed that the play was incorrect and issued an injunction the next day, prohibiting the play from being performed again. . On the second night, "Great Joy" presented another play, "The Heroes Enter Hanguan", but it also suffered the same fate for the same reason - it was banned from being performed. So the performance of "Ten Thousand Tombs by the Qin Zhun River" on the third night was also banned. Three consecutive plays were banned, which of course affected theatergoers' confidence and impression of the troupe. The box office naturally plummeted. If it were another old man, his confidence would be hit. At the very least, he would be discouraged, and he might even quit the show. But on the fourth night Brother Fan released "The Hatred of the Blue Sea". This theme song drew thunderous applause. Early the next morning, there was already a long queue of people outside the Central Theater. For the remaining twenty-four days, banners saying "The house is full" were hung every day. The radio "Li's Call" also received a flurry of letters asking for this song. These three words "He Feifan" have become a guarantee for the success of major dramas. It is said that when He Feifan's self-financed drama team filmed Wu Junli's performance in San Francisco, the United States, Brother Fan became his own boss. Since Huang Chaowu and He Feifan had always had a close personal relationship, when friends came from far away, Huang Chaowu invited He Feifan to live in his home. Unexpectedly, because he had to take care of the restaurant business, he left early and came back late, which gave He Feifan an opportunity to get along with Huang Chaowu's wife Zhou Kunling. The two became romantically involved over time. When a third party appears in the marriage, the most hurtful person is of course Huang Chaowu! He never expected that the third party is his good friend He Feifei, who is called brother-in-law. He Feifan has always given people the impression of being an uninhibited spendthrift.
