林楚楚（Florence Lim)

林楚楚（Florence Lim，1905年1月21日—1979年2月16日），祖籍广东新会，中国电影演员，1925年到1954年间活跃于内地和香港影坛。她是电影制片人黎民伟的平妻，演员黎铿和黎锡的母亲。前歌手兼演员黎姿是她的孙女。 林楚楚先祖是新会县司前镇（今属江门市新会区）人，父母移居加拿大后于当地开设米铺 。她生于加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚省域多利。3岁时，父亲去世，之后在加拿大域多利中华会馆读书，学得流利的中英文。9岁时，母亲前去香港看病，12岁时前去与母亲共同生活，在当地读小学。之后就读于英华女学校。经同窗好友黎杏球（即黎灼灼）的引荐，结识了黎的叔叔黎民伟。黎民伟比她年长12岁，于1920年将15岁的她娶为平妻。 1925年出演黎民伟手下民新影片公司的作品《臙脂》，正式踏足演艺圈。1926年公司北迁上海后，先后出演《海角诗人》和《西厢记》等默片。1930年公司改名为联华影业公司后，又出演了《一剪梅》（1931）、《天伦 (电影)》（1935）和《国风》（1935）和《慈母曲》（1937），塑造了深得人心的慈母角色。而她的儿子黎铿当时也在演艺圈崭露头角。 淞沪会战爆发后，黎民伟将公司搬回香港。之后，林楚楚出演了许多爱国抗日电影。日军侵略香港后，举家到中国大陆逃难，先是在开平县赤坎镇落脚，期间林楚楚靠在街头兜售旧衣服帮补家计。1943年，日军进犯赤坎，黎家又逃到广西桂林，在当地经营摄影馆。战后回到香港后，她继续拍摄电影，直到丈夫1953年过世后隐退，抚育丈夫遗留下来的九个孩子。70年代重返大陆。1979年在香港病逝，享年75岁。 Lin Chuchu (林楚楚Florence Lim, January 21, 1905 - February 16, 1979), native of Xinhui, Guangdong, was a Chinese film actress who was active in the mainland and Hong Kong film circles from 1925 to 1954. Lin Chuchu's ancestors were from Siqian Town, Xinhui County (now part of Xinhui District, Jiangmen City). After their parents immigrated to Canada, they opened a rice shop there. She was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. When he was 3 years old, her father passed away. After that, she studied at the Victoria Chinese Association in Canada and learned fluent Chinese and English. When she was 9 years old, her mother went to Hong Kong for medical treatment. When she was 12 years old, she went to live with her mother and went to primary school there. Later studied at Yinghua Girls' School. After being introduced by her classmate Li Xingqiu (also known as Li Zhuozhuo), he met Li Minwei, Li's uncle. Li Minwei was 12 years older than her and married her in 1920 when she was 15 years old. In 1925, she starred in the work "Rouge" produced by Li Minwei's Minxin Film Company and officially entered the entertainment industry. After the company moved north to Shanghai in 1926, it successively appeared in silent films such as "The Poet of the Cape" and "The Romance of the West Chamber". After the company was renamed Lianhua Film Company in 1930, it also starred in "One Cut Plum" (1931), "Tian Lun (movie)" (1935), "Guo Feng" (1935) and "Mother Song" (1937), shaping the A beloved motherly character. In 1943, the Japanese army invaded Chikan, and the Li family fled to Guilin, Guangxi, where they ran a photography studio. After returning to Hong Kong after the war, she continued to make films until her husband passed away in 1953 and retired to raise her nine children. Returned to mainland China in the 1970s.
