Lau Kar Leung is the first person to be promoted from a martial arts instructor to a director. Most of his films are successful and unique. Because Lau Kar Leung's works can integrate martial arts with the plot. For example, the couple's wedding night and the father-son fight in "The Fist of Fury" can all be expressed with martial arts. The film also touches on the more profound qigong and acupressure. In 2010, Lau Kar Leung won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 29th Hong Kong Film Awards. Lau Kar-wing刘家荣 was born on January 1, 1944. Lau Kar-wing and his brother Lau Kar-liang loved martial arts since childhood. When they grew up, they formed the "Lau Clan" with their brother Lau Kar-hui and worked hard in the film industry. Lau Kar-wing has directed and produced many movies and successfully portrayed many roles. In the 1980s and 1990s, with the aging of Lau Kar-liang, the Lau Clan had begun to decline. Lau Kar-wing, in many cases, was only said to be Lau Kar-liang's younger brother, and few people really paid attention to him. Moreover, Lau Kar-liang did not value his younger brother very much. He directed "Shaolin 36 Chambers" himself and only let Lau Kar-wing play a supporting role, but let his adapt brother Lau Kar-hui be the male lead. After that, Lau Kar-wing came out to develop on his own, but as a member of the Lau Clan, he would come back at any time to play the role of his brother in the play. Throughout the 1980s, Liu Jiarong was a freelancer. Although his performances on stage did not become a big hit, he was very successful as a martial arts director. He also directed movies for Shaw Brothers, Cinema City and Golden Harvest. "Dragon Family" attracted wide attention because it brought together many stars. In 1990, Lau Kar-wing, Sammo Hung and Michael Hui, the three old friends, reunited and co-produced "Thin Tiger Fat Dragon", directed by Liu Jiarong and starring Michael Hui and Sammo Hung. Lau Kar-wing's most recent work was "Drunken Monkey" in 2003, co-directed with his brother Liu Jialiang. In the same year, he also participated in the performance of "Anna and the Martial Arts", playing an old monk. Although there were action scenes, he was too old to fight. Six years ago, he accepted Luo Jiaying's invitation to teach Nanquan in Bahe on a voluntary basis. Yi Qingyun was one of the students. The two got along very well, so he accepted her as his apprentice. In recent years, Lau Kar-wing has rarely filmed movies and rarely appeared on TV. The last time he appeared on TV was when his son Liu Yongjian hosted a program. In order to support his son, he and Sammo Hung went on the show together and accepted an exclusive interview with the young people.
