Wang Yuesheng's parents passed away when he was a child. When he was 12 or 13 years old, he worked as an apprentice in a Gu embroidery shop on Wellington Street in Hong Kong. During this period, the shop owner discovered his musical talent and sponsored him to learn musical instruments. Later, he was employed by a small music circle and was responsible for playing scores during breaks, and his career began from then on. In addition to working in the music industry, Wang Yuesheng also serves as an accompanist in Cantonese opera troupes such as "Jie Xian Sing Theater Company" and "Da Long Feng Theater Company". In addition, he has appeared on stage and participated in movies, such as "The People", "As Romans Do", "Prefect Qiao's Random Mandarin Ducks" and so on. Wang is a musical prodigy and is good at instruments such as violin, dulcimer, guzheng, jazz drums, saxophone and pipa. He has composed or adapted more than 100 ditties and Cantonese operas, among which "Tears of Red Candles", "Beauty on the Silver Pond", "New Tai Resentment", "Autumn Thoughts on the Dressing Table", etc. are all popular works. Wang has made great contributions to music and Cantonese opera education, and has a rich family. His students include Hong Xian Nu, Lam Ka Sing, Nan Feng, Yin Feiyan, Luo Jiaying, Nan Hong, etc. Wang made great contributions to Cantonese opera throughout his life.
