陈倩如（Chan Sin-Yu）

Good at playing voluptuous and coquettish characters; Chen Qianru was born in the "Lianhua Actor Training Institute" and trained at the Mingyuan Playground with Huang Manli, Tang Xingtu, Wu Chufan, Hu Yixing (Hu Rong), Yang Junxia, Liang Baifei (Liang Yumei) and others. Her boyfriend was football team leader and Jockey Club horse owner Woo Lai-tin, who made a self-financed Cantonese film "Three Days of Guangzhou Massacre" (released in 1937). Chen Qianru's sister group is the singer's little star (Deng Manwei) and Zheng Baoyan; the third wife of Xinma Shitzeng (Deng Yongxiang), Pearl Buck (Chen Weiyun), was her goddaughter. Chen Qianru played the role of Xiao Jiabiyu in her early stage of acting. Later she worked as a backup dancer, and then she became a meat bomb when she entered the film industry, specializing in bad women who seduce men with their wild hair. Chen Qianru made her screen debut in "Three Days of Massacre in Guangzhou" (March 1937); she once took a break to work as a dancer in a ballroom, and then appeared again in the movies "Puppet Beauty" (June 1938) and "Shanghai Behind the Line" (1938) June), "Song Girl White Peony" (February 1939), "Beautiful Doctor" (February 1939), "The Big Girl Wants to Get Married" (April 1939); she left the film as "The Heroine Yu Jinfeng" (1956) September), performed in more than 50 Hong Kong Cantonese feature films. Chen Qianru lived in Wong Chuk Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon. On November 8, 1940, she went to the second floor of 506 Nathan Road, Kowloon, to discuss filming a movie with a falsely claimed film producer. She was tricked into gambling and lost HK$1,000. Afterwards, Hong Kong The police arrested and charged the two fraudsters; on December 12, 1940, the second trial was held at the Kowloon Inspectorate. The judge believed that Chen Qianru was a "Tianxian Bureau" fraud, and Chen Qianru collaborated with others to take the blame for herself, and sentenced the second defendant Yuan Yuxiang was acquitted; the third trial was held at the Kowloon Inspectorate House at 2:30 pm on December 16, 1940. Chen Qianru was accompanied by her boyfriend Wu Litian. Unfortunately, due to insufficient evidence, the judge finally sentenced the defendant Guo Yubing (26 years old) was acquitted. There is no news about Chen Qianru and Hu Litian in the mid-1950s! They may have moved to Australia, because before the war Hu Litian expressed his hope to establish a football team in Australia.
