廖丽丽（ Liu Lai Lai）

廖丽丽（ Liu Lai Lai）是香港已故资深甘草演员，1947年7月19日出生，祖籍广东客家人，廖丽丽在18至19岁期间就读一间六年制寄宿舞蹈学校。学成之后就展开下乡的演出历程。不久，廖丽丽结婚生育；却因她的父亲被批斗过，所以反对她与丈夫（印尼华侨）来往。之后文化大革命结束，廖丽丽带同女儿到香港土瓜湾生活了一年多，以等待新加坡入境申请，与印尼华侨丈夫团聚。她在这段时间内再次担任舞蹈老师以及到玩具厂打工谋生。 不久其丈夫获新加坡交响乐团聘请，恰巧新加坡广播局（新广）招生，她就在1983年就投考艺员训练班。毕业后签约成为新广艺员，并留在当地长达8年。在1987年，廖丽丽提前两年解约，并举家移居香港。 回到香港后，她主动联络无线电视，希望可以成为旗下艺员。廖丽丽曾在新加坡电视台任职，所以不需要重新应考就能与电视台签约，由领最低薪金的演员级别做起。后来为了增加收入，她再次当业余舞蹈教师，教授拉丁舞。 廖丽丽自1987年起一直在无线电视担当绿叶演员，其擅长饰演三姑六婆及阔太角色，前后演出剧集逾百部。此外，廖丽丽本身亦擅长社交舞，曾在《皆大欢喜》、《天天天晴》及其他剧集中有跳舞的演出。《刑事侦缉档案III》的郑小姐和《酒店风云》的卖菜婆让人看到眼熟，人气急升。 2011年，廖丽丽确诊患上乳腺癌，经治疗后已经康复。此前，她的丈夫亦患上癌症。她为了养家，故此在演戏之外还打两份额外工作，包括为台湾录影带翻译粤语对白和帮朋友从香港长沙湾工厂大厦携带成衣往深圳的时装店销售。其时她仍然保持跳舞的习惯，原因是医生要她继续跳舞以让腰骨维持正直。可惜廖丽丽却因舌癌，于2017年9月4日凌晨，在东区医院病逝，终年70岁。 Liao Lili廖丽丽 Liu Lai Lai is a late veteran licorice actress in Hong Kong. She was born on July 19, 1947. Her ancestral home is Hakka, Guangdong. Liu Lai Lai attended a six-year boarding dance school between the ages of 18 and 19. After completing her studies, she started performing in the countryside. Soon, Liao Lili got married and gave birth to a child; but because her father had been criticized, she was opposed to her being in contact with her husband (an overseas Chinese from Indonesia). After the Cultural Revolution ended, Liao Lili took her daughter to live in To Kwa Wan, Hong Kong for more than a year, waiting for her Singaporean entry application to reunite with her Indonesian overseas Chinese husband. During this time she once again worked as a dance teacher and in a toy factory to earn a living. Soon her husband was hired by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. It happened that the Singapore Broadcasting Board (Singapore Broadcasting Corporation) was recruiting students, so she applied for the artist training class in 1983. After graduation, she signed a contract as a New Broadcasting Artist and stayed there for 8 years. In 1987, Liao Lili terminated her contract two years early and moved her family to Hong Kong. After returning to Hong Kong, she took the initiative to contact TVB, hoping to become one of its artists. Liao Lili once worked at a Singapore TV station, so she was able to sign a contract with the TV station without re-taking the exam, starting from the lowest-paid actor level. Later, in order to increase her income, she once again became an amateur dance teacher, teaching Latin dance. Liao Lili has been working as a green leaf actress on TVB since 1987. She is good at playing the roles of aunts, and rich wives, and has appeared in more than 100 TV dramas. In addition, Liao Lili is also good at social dancing and has danced in "As You Like It", "Everyday Sunny" and other dramas. Ms. Cheng in "Criminal Files III" and the vegetable vendor in "Hotel" are familiar to everyone, and their popularity has skyrocketed. In 2011, Liao Lili was diagnosed with breast cancer and recovered after treatment. Previously, her husband also suffered from cancer. In order to support her family, she worked two additional jobs besides acting, including translating Cantonese dialogue for Taiwanese videos and helping a friend carry ready-made clothes from the Cheung Sha Wan factory building in Hong Kong to sell in fashion stores in Shenzhen. At that time, she still kept dancing because the doctor asked her to continue dancing to keep her waist straight. Unfortunately, Liu Lili died of tongue cancer in the Eastern District Hospital in the early morning of September 4, 2017.
