张嘉年 （太保Tai Bo）

张嘉年 （太保Tai Bo）1950年10月21日于香港出生，籍贯广东省罗定县，一岁时随本来为军人、及后从商的父亲前往台湾生活。在高雄完成小学课程后，重返香港入读中学。当时他居住在九龙尖沙咀，同学用粤语叫他“台保”，意指台湾的流氓，他于是以此外号作为艺名沿用至今。中学毕业后，张报考邵氏兄弟南国实验剧团训练班。由于外貌不标青，所以1968年毕业后被安排到幕后发展，在1970年代初，张嘉年没有太多工作在身，遂应朋友邀请到荷兰游玩四至五年。他跟随午马学习幕后工作的契机来自自己在尖沙咀夜蒲时午马对他的赏识。他跟随午马当场记。其后先随午马当副导演及执行导演（1973年起），再被成龙相中正式转为演员，于嘉禾电影工作。 由1980年开始，张在香港拍摄电影，常在成龙及洪金宝制作的电影中出现。近年多在台湾拍摄台产电影。他于1984年以《公仆》入围第21届金马奖最佳男配角奖，2000年以《运转手之恋》获得第37届金马奖最佳男配角奖和第三届台北电影节商业类最佳男配角奖，2007年以《铁树花开》获得第42届金钟奖最佳戏剧男配角奖，原初得奖人张国柱是以《白色巨塔》获奖。但主办单位发现搞错对象，得奖人应为太保。结果让两人双双获得这届最佳戏剧男配角奖。 在2018年，他以《To Pluto》（冥王星图）提名英国独立影展最佳男配角。2019年以《叔·叔》入围第56届金马奖最佳男主角。2020年再以《叔·叔》获得第26届香港电影评论学会大奖最佳男演员、香港电影导演会年度大奖最佳男主角，以及第39届香港电影金像奖最佳男主角。2024年获得第23届纽约亚洲电影节亚洲之星终身成就大奖。 张嘉年已婚，其妻子是一名空中服务员。二人于台湾电影导演杨德昌的聚会上认识，在香港尖沙咀注册结婚。婚后育有一子一女。 Zhang Jianian (Tai Bo) was born in Hong Kong on October 21, 1950. His native place was Luoding County, Guangdong Province. When he was one year old, he went to Taiwan to live with his father, who was originally a soldier and later a businessman. After completing primary school courses in Kaohsiung, he returned to Hong Kong to attend secondary school. At that time, he was living in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, and his classmates called him "Tai Bao" in Cantonese, which means a gangster in Taiwan. So he used this nickname as his stage name to this day. After graduating from high school, Zhang applied for the training class of Shaw Brothers Southern Experimental Theater. Because of his unattractive appearance, he was assigned to develop behind the scenes after graduating in 1968. In the early 1970s, Zhang Jianian did not have much work, so he was invited by a friend to travel to the Netherlands for four to five years. The opportunity for him to learn behind-the-scenes work from Wu Ma came from Wu Ma's appreciation of him when he was working in Tsim Sha Tsui. He followed Wu Ma and took notes on the spot. Later, he first worked as an assistant director and executive director with Wu Ma (from 1973), and then was officially turned into an actor by Jackie Chan, working at Golden Harvest Films. Beginning in 1980, Zhang Jianian filmed in Hong Kong, often appearing in films produced by Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. In recent years, many Taiwanese films have been shot in Taiwan. In 1984, he was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 21st Golden Horse Awards for "Public Servant". In 2000, he won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 37th Golden Horse Awards and the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 3rd Taipei Film Festival in the Commercial Category for "The Love of the Hand". Best Supporting Actor Award. In 2007, he won the 42nd Golden Bell Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for "The Iron Tree Blooms". The original winner, Zhang Guozhu, won the award for "The White Tower". However, the organizer discovered that they had made a mistake and the winner should be CPIC. As a result, both of them won the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Award. In 2018, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the British Independent Film Festival for "To Pluto". In 2019, he was nominated for Best Actor in the 56th Golden Horse Awards for "Uncle". In 2020, he won the Best Actor at the 26th Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, the Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Directors Guild Annual Awards, and the Best Actor at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards for "Uncle". In 2024, he won the Asian Star Lifetime Achievement Award at the 23rd New York Asian Film Festival. Zhang Jianian is married, and his wife is a flight attendant. The two met at a party hosted by Taiwanese film director Edward Yang and registered their marriage in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. After marriage, they had a son and a daughter.
