许坚信 Xu Shicheng

许坚信 Xu Shicheng ，JP（1935年4月4日－2007年3月29日）是香港的老牌演员、粤剧名伶，亦是香港歌手许秋怡的父亲、演员王书麒的岳父。他曾担任舞台剧《南海十三郎》的粤剧指导。在1980年代，亦在电视担任甘草角色，例如：1982年在无线的《天龙八部》饰演阿朱易容的何伯及丐帮宋长老（ 宋清溪） 丐帮四大长老之一；1983年在无线的《射雕英雄传》饰演临安牛家村的一位铁匠张老爹。 在周润发主演的电影视剧《上海滩》中，许坚信出演神父一角，是婚礼主持人。 许坚信于1995年7月24日受英女皇赐予J.P. 即太平绅士（Justice of the Peace）JP，也译作治安法官，是一种源于英国，由政府委任民间人士担任维持社区安宁、防止非法刑罚及处理一些较简单的法律程序的职衔，多半是在适用英美法系的国家或是曾使用英美法系的地区。 　 许坚信2007年病逝，终年72 岁。他的女儿许秋怡当时在内地，不在身边，因此甚为遗憾未能见到老父最后一面。许坚信及其胞姐许雪裘同是粤剧名伶，早年三代同堂齐享家庭乐。许坚信出身粤剧界，晚年专注在演艺学院授粤剧，希望这个传统文化得以薪火相传。 Xu Shicheng 许坚信 JP Hui (April 4, 1935 - March 29, 2007) was a veteran Hong Kong actor and Cantonese opera star. He was also the father of Hong Kong singer Hui Qiuyi and the father-in-law of actor Wang Shuqi. He once served as the Cantonese opera director for the stage play "Thirteen Langs of the South China Sea". In the 1980s, he also played licorice roles on TV. For example: in 1982, he played the role of Uncle Ho in the disguise of A'Zhu in TVB's "Dragon" and Elder Song (Song Qingxi) of the Beggar Gang, one of the four elders of the Beggar Gang; in 1983, he played in TVB's "Dragon" "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" plays Mr. Zhang, a blacksmith in Niujia Village, Lin'an. In the movie and TV series "Shanghai" starring Chow Yun-fat, Xu Shicheng plays the role of a priest and the wedding host. Xu was granted the title of J.P. by the Queen of England on July 24, 1995. JP, also translated as Justice of the Peace, is a type of justice originating from the United Kingdom, where private individuals are appointed by the government to maintain community peace and prevent illegal punishment. And job titles that handle some simpler legal procedures are mostly in countries that apply the common law system or areas that have used the common law system. ​ Xu Shicheng died of illness in 2007 at the age of 72. His daughter Xu Qiuyi was not around, because she was in the Mainland at the time, so she regretted not being able to see her father for the last time. Hui Shicheng and his sister Hui Suet-kiu are both famous Cantonese opera actresses. In their early years, the three generations enjoyed family fun together. Xu firmly came from the Cantonese opera industry, and in his later years he focused on teaching Cantonese opera at the Academy of Performing Arts, hoping that this traditional culture could be passed down from generation to generation.
